Printer Setup on a PC
Introduction: It is recommended that Purchasing technical support (BIS Coordinator) or the LAN Coordinator setup or install equipment.
- Click the Start Button at the bottom of the screen
- Choose Settings
- Choose Printers
- Choose "Add a Printer"
- Follow the steps of the printer wizard on the screen
Things you need to keep in mind while doing this:
- Be careful about choosing the default printer, make sure it is your preferred printer.
- In order to setup a printer on your computer, you must know the pathway of the printer on the network. If you do not, see the LAN Coordinator for more information.
- Choose the model that is as close to your printer as you can when the wizard prompts you to.
- Printing the test page is unnecessary, and the troubleshooter is unable to diagnose network troubles. See the LAN Coordinator is there are difficulties in this area.
