GroupWise Web Access
Introduction: GroupWise Web Access is for times when people are away from their work terminal and need access to e-mail from a remote location, ie: At a conference, at home, or when not at the University. This access can also be helpful when the Network is unstable.
- Go to http://www1.umn.edu/ndis/gwacc.html to access server link.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Webaccess GroupWise 5.x Server One
- This brings up a pop-up box. Enter your Novell ID (the one you use to login to your computer in the morning).
- This brings you to your GroupWise account. Enter your ID and GroupWise password. (This needs to be set up at work in order for it to function elsewhere.)
- There are three choices of interfaces you can use:
- Java
- Frames
- Text
Java is set as the default, but doesn't always work correctly. It does look and feel very similar to the version that runs in the office. The text-based first choice is a bit clunkier, but will run on all computers regardless of speed and memory. - When you are finished with your mail, click exit, and you will be logged out of your email.
