BIS Subscription Email
Introduction: As vendors subscribe to the BIS system they are sent an informative email. This accomplishes several items:
- It notifies the vendor that the Vendor Profile Form (VPF) and payment was received and accepted
- It provides the vendor with the initial Username and Password
- It tests the vendor email for bounces or undeliverable aspects
Below is the text of the initial email:
"Your subscription has been received and approved. Based on the information you provided a Login ID and Password has been generated. All contact persons listed in the application have been issued separate ID's and passwords. They are case sensitive, and must be typed in exactly as it appears.

You are now ready to login to the BIS site and receive bid notification. Go to http://bidinfo.umn.edu and login. When you login to the BIS site, you will be prompted to change your password. Please enter an alpha-numeric combination of your choice.
If you have any questions, call the BIS Helpline at 612-625-5534, or send an e-mail to:
bishelp@tc.umn.edu"
Expectations: This email is generated by the system as soon as the vendor is moved into subscribed status by the BIS Coordinator. Any problems with this email being returned from the vendor, see Undeliverable/Bounced Email.
